Crop farming
9 companies in the Agricultural Group are engaged in crop farming: Agrostem, Agricore Holding, Agroprime Holding, Savran Food Factory, Rassvet Agricultural Firm, Santagro, Nyva, Agroset and Agrowit.
AGRAIN grows the following main crops: wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower. Good commercial properties of grains and seeds enable companies of the agricultural group to supply products to both the domestic and international markets.
Crop rotation structure is divided two-way: winter crops – 38%, spring crops – 62%.
Agronomists of the companies thoroughly plan crop rotation to prevent land exhaustion.
Grain elevators
The Agricultural Group has two grain elevators included into Ukraine’s TOP-100 largest linear grain storages: Service Grain (one-time storage capacity 100 thousand tonnes) and Elevator Agro (180 thousand tonnes). It also has two mini-grain elevators: Savran Food Factory (20 thousand tonnes) and Agrowit (20 thousand tonnes).
Elevator facilities have modern equipment enabling to provide a complete cycle of grain postharvest handling services. Process and quality control system is fully automatic and guarantees the most reliable and economical approach to grain drying, cleaning, storage and carriage.
Grain arrives to elevators from the agricultural group branches located in different regions. In order to cut logistics costs the company cooperates with other agricultural holdings, using one another’s grain elevators.

There are 4 companies in AGRAIN Group engaged in animal husbandry: Agricore Holding, Agroprime Holding, Agrowit and Agroset.
Beef cattle stock comprises 5,000 heads, dairy cattle – 1,750 heads, including over 800 heads of milking herd.
Main beef cattle stock is bred using American technology, which involves unrestricted grazing and loose housing. This breeding technology requires minimum infrastructure, only sheds to protect from sun and wind, and premises for delivery of calves and animal vaccination.
Dairy production technology on dairy farms meets all regulations and standards: improved animal housing and feeding systems are applied, production processes are mechanized and controlled at all stages.
AGRAIN also develops pedigree pig breeding, sells high quality French selection pedigree pigs and pigs for slaughter on the live weight basis. Total one-time housing capacity for productive sows constitutes 1,300 heads. This enables the facility to reach capacity of 39,000 heads of fat pigs for slaughter (approx. 4,000 tonnes of high quality meat) per year.

Beef cattle stock comprises 5,000 heads. Agricore Holding LLC (Chernihiv Region) has key facilities of AGRAIN Agricultural Group in beef cattle breeding. The company has a pedigree breeding facility status raising 7 breeds of beef cattle:

- Polissia beef cattle,
- Znamianka type of Polissia beef cattle.
Meat export makes up 15-25% in general sales structure of Agricore Holding. Beef cattle on live weight basis is exported to the following countries:

- Central and Middle Asia (Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Jordan),
- North Africa (Egypt),
- China.

2 companies in AGRAIN Agricultural Group are engaged in dairy cattle breeding: Agroset (Kharkiv Region) and Agrowit (Cherkasy Region). Agrowit keeps 500 heads of cattle, 230 of which are dairy cows. Agroset has 980 heads, including 398 dairy cows. Breeds: Ukrainian black-spotted dairy breed, Ukrainian red-spotted dairy breed.
AGRAIN produces over 5,000 tonnes of extra and top grade milk per year. Milk is sold on domestic market to milk processing plants. Agroset supplies milk to Zmiyiv Dairy Plant and Kharkiv Dairy Complex, and Agrowit cooperates with Roschen Corporation.

Pedigree breeding facility of Agroprime Holding LLC housing 200 heads of sows is one of the three largest suppliers of pedigree pigs in Ukraine.
Pedigree breeding facility sells pure-bred pigs and boars of the Large White and Landrace breeds and F1gilts. Pure-bred pedigree animals are supplied by the leading global company Axion (France).

Total one-time housing capacity for productive sows constitutes 1,300 heads. This enables the facility to reach capacity of 39,000 heads of fat pigs for slaughter (approx. 4,000 tonnes of high quality meat) per year. Every week the facility dispatches 600 heads of pigs for slaughter on live weight basis. Commercial batches are delivered to meat processing factories in Ukraine. In 2019 a fattening farm in Berezyne Village (Bolhrad District) was renovated, and today it accounts for 4,000 more heads of pigs for slaughter per year.
Logistics
Agrain Trans Transport Company, which is a member of AGRAIN Agricultural Group, has been operating on Ukrainian’s cargo shipment market since 2012. The company’s vehicle fleet comprises 85 Scania grain haulers with grain-carrying semi-trailers for agricultural cargos.
The Company transports all kinds of grains and oilseeds, as well as oilcakes and fertilizers throughout Ukraine. It also provides services for carriage of out-of-gauge cargo (agricultural machinery, equipment), fuels and lubricants.
Agrain Trans cooperates with traders, large and small farming businesses and agents.

Agricultural machinery fleet of AGRAIN Group comprises machines mostly of foreign world-class brands:

It is fair to say that AGRAIN is one of the testers of innovative machinery and equipment in Ukraine. The Company uses various precision farming systems from such famous manufacturers as John Deere, Trimble, Precision Planting and others. All new engineering solutions are at first thoroughly tested in real life, after which a decision is made on their further extensive use.
AGRAIN Agricultural Group practices precision farming by equipping agricultural machinery with systems for development of field movement routes for soil cultivation, seeding and other technological tasks, as well as differentiated seed planting and application of mineral fertilizers.
For the purpose of moisture preservation and accumulation farms of the Agricultural Group discontinue classic technology on some of the areas, and instead of ploughing do deep tilling and strip-till. This improves soil structure, increases its natural fertility and saves on costs of crop protection agents and fuel.
